Jeff Bezos announced that after 26 years he is stepping down as CEO. This news came after Amazon posted record 4q earnings where their revenue jumped 44% to $125,56 billion and topped $100 billion for the first time for that period of time. Also their profit doubled. After this news Bezos announced that Andy Jassy, long time head of cloud division will replace him as CEO from 3rd quarter, however Bezos is not leaving the company totally as he will stay as Chairman of the board. Overall Amazon had probably their best year in history in time where many companies are fighting for survival which put Bezos to number one spot as wolrd richest man and with pandemic still on its way, it seems likely that Amazon shares will continiue to go up.
